Join the International Max Planck Research School for Molecular Organ Biology (IMPRS-MOB) and unlock a world of opportunities as a fully funded PhD candidate!

Our innovative graduate program IMPRS-MOB is set in the vibrant Rhine-Main region, connecting three leading scientific hubs: MPI for Heart and Lung Research in Bad Nauheim, Justus Liebig University in Gießen, and Goethe University Frankfurt.

Participate in an international and multidisciplinary environment that explores the cellular and molecular mechanisms controlling the physiology and pathology of organ systems. Be part of a comprehensive three-year graduate school program encompassing lectures, specialized seminars, methods courses, and retreats. Take full advantage of the abundant scientific resources offered by the Max Planck Institute and its associated universities.

Successful candidates can choose an exciting research project in the field of

It is not necessary to hold the final degree at the time of application. However, applicants should hold an MSc with a strong background in biological sciences, biochemistry, medicine, pharmacy or a related discipline by October 2026.
