Applications for the Autumn 2025 intake of 10 fully funded PhD positions in Water Technology at Wetsus, the European Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology, have now closed. The next PhD call will open in Spring 2026.

The research at Wetsus focuses on five main areas:

• Sustainable water supply
• Wastewater treatment and reuse
• New water sources
• Reuse of components and energy production
• Sensing of micro/ nano-pollutants

The interdisciplinary nature of Wetsus's research, combined with collaboration between companies and research institutes, creates a unique learning environment. A dedicated personal development program is in place to help PhD students develop essential skills.
