The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for a Health Sciences Assistant, Associate or Full Clinical Professor in the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS). This position may cover a limited combination of outpatient sites which are to be determined (options include: Burbank, Pasadena, Westlake Village, Westwood, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, and future UCLA sites) and inpatient/surgical sites (including Ronald Reagan, Santa Monica, West Valley-UCLA, Providence St. Joe's, Los Robles, ambulatory surgical centers, and future UCLA sites).
Applicants must possess an M.D. degree or equivalent to apply. They must also be board certified or board eligible in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the subspecialty of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. Successful completion of an ACGME accredited URPS Fellowship with a track record of academic excellence and research or creative activity is required. Candidates should have experience in the evaluation and management of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, urogenital fistulae, mesh complications, pelvic pain syndromes, obstructed defecation, and fecal incontinence.
The successful candidate will contribute to the clinical care of complex URPS patients, education of trainees, and active participation in the Division's research mission. Candidates with excellent communication, administrative, teaching, and leadership skills are encouraged to apply.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience, credentials and prior accomplishments.
The posted UC Salary Scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 - Summary. The salary range for this position is $250,000-$325,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
