We are seeking an experienced and passionate VET Casual Teacher – Building & Construction to deliver high-quality training and assessment across building and construction qualifications. Working within a collaborative team, you will apply current industry practice, contemporary teaching methods and learning technologies to create engaging and compliant learning experiences that support student success.
Teaching responsibilities will primarily focus on:
- CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)
- CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building)
You will customise learning and assessment strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners and contribute to an inclusive, supportive and industry-connected learning environment.

About You
You are a qualified building and construction professional with current industry expertise and a passion for teaching and mentoring learners. To be successful, you will have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 (or equivalent).
- A qualification equivalent to or higher than CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building).
- Current industry experience in building and construction, with the ability to deliver and assess CPC40120 and/or CPC50220 units.
- Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code, building legislation, regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, and industry standards.
- Experience delivering engaging training across face-to-face, online and blended learning environments.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A commitment to student success, inclusive teaching practices and continuous improvement.
- Sound understanding of compliance requirements within the vocational education sector.
Additional Information
This casual position supports evening delivery at our Croydon campus, with current teaching requirements on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (5:30 pm – 9:30 pm). Flexibility to work across different delivery modes, campuses and schedules may be required based on operational needs.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 (or equivalent credential recognised under the Standards for RTOs).
- Minimum qualification of CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) or an equivalent/relevant building and construction qualification.
