POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for leading the human resources function including the design, implementation, and execution of strategy, processes, and policies related to recruitment, staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, wellness, performance management, human resources operations and processes, organizational development, employee development, and legal compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for all aspects of the human resources function including the design, implementation, and execution of the College’s human resources strategy to support the College’s strategic directions and goals.*
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process ensuring talented staff are hired, developed, and retained to create and sustain a high performing culture.*
- Provide guidance on managing complex and sensitive employee relations matters.*
- Develop, implement, and manage compensation and benefits programs, interfacing and negotiating with brokers and carriers.*
- Lead and support organizational development strategies related leadership development, employee development, and performance management.*
- Ensure that human resources activities are provided in an efficient and effective manner, maintaining the highest degree of customer service.*
- Focus on improving employee relations/communications.*
- Lead College compliance with employment and labor law and reporting requirements including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and worker’s compensation.*
- Identify legal and compliance issues related to human resources and manage the College’s risk and exposure.*
- Maintain knowledge of human resources policies, programs, and laws.*
- Staff, supervise, support, and evaluate employees in areas of responsibility.*
- Effectively prepare and manage budget.*
- Provide assistance with student issues relating to violations of the Code of Conduct and as related to the role of the Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Officer.*
- Attend Board meetings and represent Human Resources to the Board.*
- Serve as the District’s Title IX Coordinator.*
- Serve on the District’s Executive Team.*
- Participate in and build relationships with College committees and external community groups.*
- Serves as records custodian.*
- Other duties as assigned.
