The Department of Economics in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for two visiting assistant professor positions in Economics. The beginning date for the position is August 15, 2026.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the drive and vision to develop an innovative, and cutting-edge instructional program. The teaching load is six three-credit courses per year. This is a one-year position.
The courses likely to be staffed across the two positions could include Introductory Microeconomics, Introductory Macroeconomics, Money and Banking (intermediate level), Intermediate Macroeconomics, International Trade (intermediate level), and other intermediate core and field courses as needed. Classes are in person, meet 2 or 3 days per week, and likely range in size from 38 to 275.
Candidates must possess a Ph.D in Economics or adjacent discipline.
Ideal candidates will have a record of excellent teaching in undergraduate courses and preferably with experience with teaching large courses.
