Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Department of Environmental & Public Health, Administration, and Medical Sciences at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor position in the Health Care Administration Program for Academic Year 2026-2027. Applicants should hold at a minimum a Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Health Informatics, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. Additionally, the applicant must hold an AHIMA credential. This appointment begins August 2026.
The position serves the Health Care Administration Program. It requires experience in medical coding, health information management/systems, and health care reimbursement. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in a workload consistent with the needs and priorities of the college and institution.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master's in Health Care Administration, Health Informatics, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment.
Licensure & Certifications: Must hold an AHIMA credential; RHIA, RHIT, or CCS preferred.
