Visiting Assistant Professor of Management
The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2026. This is a nine-month appointment for the 2026–2027 academic year, initially offered as a one-year term with the possibility of renewal for an additional year.
To be considered, candidates should possess a Ph.D. in management or a closely related field or hold A.B.D. status in management from an AACSB or regionally-accredited program. The candidate’s academic preparation should qualify them to teach in one or more of the following areas: principles of management, human resources, international management, entrepreneurship, or introduction to business. Candidates should demonstrate recent scholarly engagement (e.g., recent peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, or other scholarly activity) consistent with expectations for maintaining academic qualification under AACSB standards.
The teaching load is four courses per academic semester, and may include face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online deliveries. The Wall College of Business ascribes to the teacher-scholar model that prioritizes excellent teaching supported by ongoing scholarly engagement. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement through experiential learning and will maintain ongoing scholarly engagement to support academic currency.
Accredited by AACSB International, the Wall College of Business serves more than 3000 graduate and undergraduate students. The college offers undergraduate majors in seven disciplines (Accounting, Commercial and Investment Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Hospitality, Resort and Tourism Management), as well as an MBA program.
The Department of Management and Decision Sciences houses a major in management with concentration options in entrepreneurial management, human resource management, international management, operations and supply chain management, and organizational leadership. The management major is the largest at the University, with enrollment of over 1,000 students.
