Visiting Clinical Professor, Audiology (Temporary Employee Pool)
Primary Purpose and Essential Functions
The School of Health Sciences at the University of the Pacific invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track position as a Course Instructor/Clinical supervisor in the Department of Audiology.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide instruction for a total of three to twenty (3-20) hours per week (depending on your course/contract).
- Supervision of two (2) student clinicians per hour. Occasionally a clinical instructor may be assigned three (3) student clinicians per hour.
- Provide each student clinician with a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) direct supervision or more to meet the needs of the particular student clinician and/or client.
- Complete semester supervision log to document supervision time for accreditation requirements by the last day of the semester.
- Provide written feedback towards clinical reports and observational assignments.
Clinical appointments are made upon the recommendation of the department faculty where appropriate to an academic program. The clinical appointment is non-tenure track.
Minimum Qualifications
- An AuD or Ph.D. degree with relevant background to course being taught.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a professional environment working with clinical populations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written modalities.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
