Job Summary

Reporting to the Chair of the Gretsch School of Music, the Visiting Instructor of Class Piano and Piano Pedagogy will:

Teach all sections of undergraduate Group Piano
Teach Piano Pedagogy I and II to undergraduate students as needed
Accompany students and faculty as needed
Keep the piano lab up to date and in good repair
Serve as a member of the keyboard area committee and other committees as assigned

The position is an academic (10 month) appointment.

Required Qualifications

Earned Masters degree in piano pedagogy, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in piano, by August 1, 2026.
Extensive experience teaching all levels of undergraduate group piano.
Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
