Job description
The Opportunity
This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the laboratory of Dr Torode within the growing and highly successful School of Life Sciences. The school has a strong commitment to, and nationally leading reputation in, delivering high quality research and educational programmes. This position will require the processing of algal cell wall biomass, chemical analysis of polysaccharides, and testing for bioactivities in plant systems.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with significant experience of working in a laboratory environment and who have experience in operation of scientific instrumentation, laboratory and analytical equipment. Experience of characterising sulphated polysaccharides and work on fungi / oomycetes is desirable. You will be qualified with a degree in a bioscience related subject.
