Responsibilities DESCRIPTION: The Workforce Trainer delivers non-credit education through the Institute for Training department. May also design and develop curriculum for newly approved non-credit training/professional development course offerings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Develops and executes a strategy to create industry-aligned curriculum. 2. Conducts and/or teaches workshops, seminars, and/or courses as assigned, utilizing effective communications, classroom/workshop management, leadership,
training, and teaching techniques. 3. Selects, maintains, and uses materials, supplies, and equipment required for effective teaching, facilitating, and training. 4. Assists as requested in developing course curricula. 5. Sets up classroom with technology and manipulatives. 6. Performs other duties as may be required or assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Certification or qualification related to course topic. 2. Experience working in the industry related to the course topic. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 1. Exceptional verbal, written, presentation communication and interpersonal skills. 2. Proficient in the delivery of stimulating lessons and learning activities. 3. Ability to discern students’ grasp of course material. 4. Ability to design, develop, and implement competency-based learning. 5. Ability to operate standard office equipment and use required software applications. 6. Excellent MS Office 365 skills (Outlook, Word) and the ability to become proficient in MS Teams and/or Zoom. 7. Possess an enthusiasm for teaching and creativity. 8. Excellent planning and organizing skills. 9. Ability to effectively communicate subject matter content and to relate to a diverse population in a multicultural environment. 10. Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor.
