Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit: WUNC Radio provides quality news, information and entertainment programming to a broad listening audience that includes North Carolina, the United States and the world. WUNC serves North Carolinians from Greensboro to the Outer Banks through a network of ten stations.
Position Summary: The Part-Time Temporary Business Office Accounting Technician provides accounting and administrative support to the WUNC Business Office. This position assists with day-to-day financial operations by processing financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, and supporting fiscal compliance with University of North Carolina policies, and WUNC business procedures. This position must maintain a high level of professionalism and courteousness, perform with a high degree of accuracy, and maintain confidentiality at all times. The primary responsibilities performed include underwriting accounts receivables, deposit processing, detailed data entry, and processing vouchers. This position will also support overall business office functions.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Management Preferences: Experience using PeopleSoft Financials (ConnectCarolina) and have proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheets.
