The School of Music, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks Youth Summer Music Programs Staff Associate to join our team. Each summer, we welcome hundreds of student musicians to campus where they participate in programs specifically designed to further their skills, understanding of – and love for – music. Our dedicated faculty craft diverse and rich activities that provide each student with a meaningful musical experience.
Youth Summer Music Programs Staff Associates will be hired to complete specific duties required by each camp director. Youth Summer Music Programs Staff Associates will assist camp directors with music rehearsals, group work, and sectional coaching. They will also help with attendance, student movement (in the School of Music and across campus), camp programming, curriculum design, and assist with student attendance, camper drop off and pick up.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience in music teaching; strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, instructors, and community partners; knowledge of music education pedagogy, curriculum development, and assessment.
