All Member States of the United Nations have pledged to coordinate efforts to achieve sustainable development. Many countries are now working toward ambitious carbon emissions reduction targets by 2030, setting the stage for reaching net-zero by mid-century. At the same time, the world is advancing toward a more sustainable society by enhancing access to reliable and clean energy in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 7.
