The conference welcomes proposals for individual papers or panels on topics relating to legal history in Asia, including the historical evolution of common law, civil law, and socialist law traditions; history of law and empire; history of international law; transnational connections; history of law, gender and sexuality; legal pluralism; customary and religious law; history of law schools, judiciary, and legal profession. Full papers may be published in journals.
