UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital, an Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) designated Level II Trauma Center, requires emergency department physicians, surgeons, and trauma response teams to obtain a minimum of 10 hours of trauma-related Continuing Medical Education (CME) per year to ensure safe, evidence-based procedural performance and adherence to current trauma care standards. Through ongoing trauma registry reviews, morbidity and mortality conferences, and performance improvement pr
