Weather and Climate at BSPU

Minsk, where Belarussian State Pedagogical University M. Tanka is located, experiences a humid continental climate with distinct seasons. Winters are cold with temperatures often dropping below -10°C (14°F), while summers are warm with temperatures averaging around 20°C (68°F).

• Winter: December to February, with heavy snowfall and temperatures ranging from -5°C to -15°C (23°F to 5°F).
• Spring: March to May, transitioning from cold to mild, with temperatures from 0°C to 15°C (32°F to 59°F).
• Summer: June to August, warm and occasionally hot, with temperatures between 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F).
• Autumn: September to November, cooling down with temperatures from 10°C to 0°C (50°F to 32°F).

Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year, with an annual average of about 600-700 mm. Extreme weather conditions include occasional heatwaves in summer and severe cold snaps in winter, which can affect commuting and outdoor activities on the BSPU campus.
