Weather and Climate at CUPT

Chamreun University of Poly Technology (CUPT) is located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, which experiences a tropical wet and dry climate. The city has two main seasons:

• Dry Season (November to April): Temperatures range from 22°C to 35°C. This period is ideal for outdoor activities and commuting to the CUPT campus.
• Wet Season (May to October): Temperatures are similar, but with significant rainfall, averaging 1,000mm to 1,500mm. Heavy rains can impact commuting and campus life, requiring students and staff to plan accordingly.

Extreme weather conditions include occasional flooding during the wet season, which can affect access to the university. The climate supports a vibrant campus life, with outdoor research and activities more feasible during the dry months.
