Weather and Climate at CND

The College of Notre Dame of Maryland, now known as Notre Dame of Maryland University, is located in Baltimore, Maryland. The climate in Baltimore is classified as humid subtropical, with four distinct seasons:

• Spring (March to May): Temperatures range from 40°F to 70°F, with increasing rainfall.
• Summer (June to August): Hot and humid, with temperatures often reaching into the 80s and 90s°F, and occasional thunderstorms.
• Fall (September to November): Mild temperatures ranging from 50°F to 70°F, with beautiful foliage.
• Winter (December to February): Cold, with temperatures ranging from 20°F to 40°F, and occasional snowstorms.

The weather can impact commuting and campus life, especially during winter when snow may cause delays or cancellations. Outdoor research activities are more feasible in the milder months of spring and fall.
