Weather and Climate at DUET

Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) experiences a tropical monsoon climate. The year-round climate can be divided into three main seasons:

• Summer (March to June): Temperatures range from 25°C to 35°C with high humidity. This period is characterized by hot and humid conditions.
• Monsoon (June to October): Heavy rainfall is common, with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 32°C. The monsoon season can affect commuting and outdoor activities on campus.
• Winter (November to February): Cooler temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C. This is the most comfortable time of the year for outdoor research and campus activities.

Extreme weather conditions like cyclones can occasionally impact the region, though DUET has measures in place to ensure the safety of students and staff.
