Weather and Climate at EUM

Elisabeth University of Music is located in Hiroshima, Japan. The city experiences a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons:

• Spring (March to May): Temperatures range from 10°C to 20°C. It is a pleasant season with cherry blossoms in full bloom.
• Summer (June to August): Temperatures can reach up to 32°C with high humidity. The rainy season (tsuyu) occurs in June and July.
• Autumn (September to November): Temperatures range from 15°C to 25°C. Autumn is known for its beautiful foliage.
• Winter (December to February): Temperatures can drop to around 0°C, with occasional snowfall. Winters are generally mild compared to other parts of Japan.

The climate can affect commuting and campus life, with students and staff needing to prepare for rain during the summer months and colder temperatures in winter. Outdoor research activities may be more comfortable during spring and autumn.
