The Palermo campus of Fondazione Ri.MED is the foundational hub for pioneering biomedical and biotechnological research in Italy, emphasizing translational medicine that accelerates discoveries from lab bench to patient bedside. Housed in the historic Palazzo Moncada dei Principi di Paternò, it coordinates a network of specialized Ri.MED labs across partner institutions, focusing on regenerative therapies, immunotherapy innovations, structural biology, and advanced diagnostics. This campus drives interdisciplinary efforts in key therapeutic areas such as cardiovascular diseases, liver disorders, respiratory conditions, oncology, and immune system modulation, supported by state-of-the-art facilities for proteomics, cell imaging, and GMP production.
