Weather and Climate at FIT

Fukuoka Institute of Technology, located in Fukuoka, Japan, experiences a humid subtropical climate. The city has four distinct seasons:

• Spring (March to May): Mild temperatures ranging from 10°C to 20°C, with cherry blossoms in bloom.
• Summer (June to August): Hot and humid, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C and significant rainfall due to the tsuyu (rainy season).
• Autumn (September to November): Cooler temperatures from 15°C to 25°C, with clear skies and comfortable weather.
• Winter (December to February): Mild winters with temperatures between 5°C to 15°C, occasional cold snaps and light snowfall.

The weather can impact commuting due to heavy rains in summer, and campus life often moves indoors during the hottest months. Outdoor research activities are more feasible in spring and autumn.
