Weather and Climate at HUA

Hanoi University of Architecture, located in Hanoi, experiences a humid subtropical climate with distinct seasonal variations. The summer months from May to September are hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 28°C to 35°C. Rainfall is significant during this period, often leading to heavy downpours and occasional flooding which can affect commuting and campus life.

In winter, from November to March, temperatures can drop to as low as 10°C, with occasional cold snaps bringing temperatures near freezing. This cooler weather can impact outdoor research activities but generally makes for a more comfortable campus environment.

The spring and autumn months are mild, with temperatures between 15°C to 25°C, ideal for outdoor activities and research. Extreme weather conditions like typhoons can occur, particularly in late summer, potentially disrupting academic schedules.
