Academic Calendar and Important Dates for HIU

The academic year at Heisei International University is structured as follows:

• Spring Semester: Starts in early April, ends in late July.
• Fall Semester: Starts in early October, ends in late January.
• Exam Periods: Mid-term exams in May and November, final exams in July and January.
• Holidays: Golden Week in late April to early May, summer break from late July to early September, winter break from late December to early January.
• Faculty Application Deadlines: Typically in March and September for the upcoming semesters.
• Sabbatical Dates: Faculty can apply for sabbaticals, typically scheduled during the summer or winter breaks.
