Weather and Climate at HSB

The Hochschule Bremen (HSB) experiences a temperate maritime climate, influenced by its proximity to the North Sea.

• Winter (December to February): Temperatures range from 0°C to 6°C, with occasional snowfall and frequent rain.
• Spring (March to May): Temperatures gradually increase from 5°C to 15°C, with increasing daylight and less rain.
• Summer (June to August): Temperatures range from 15°C to 25°C, with occasional heatwaves reaching up to 30°C. Rainfall is moderate.
• Autumn (September to November): Temperatures decrease from 20°C to 10°C, with increasing rainfall and cooler weather.

The climate can affect commuting, especially during rainy periods, but HSB provides good infrastructure for cycling and public transport. Outdoor research activities are more feasible in the milder months of spring and summer.
