Weather and Climate at IUO

Igbinedion University Okada, located in Edo State, Nigeria, experiences a tropical wet and dry climate. The year is divided into two main seasons:

• Dry Season (November to March) - Temperatures range from 25°C to 35°C, with minimal rainfall.
• Wet Season (April to October) - Temperatures are similar, but with significant rainfall, averaging 200mm to 300mm per month.

The weather can impact commuting and campus life, particularly during the wet season when heavy rains can lead to flooding and traffic disruptions. Outdoor research activities are more feasible during the dry season.
