Weather and Climate at IISER

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) campuses experience a variety of climates depending on their location. For example, IISER Pune has a tropical wet and dry climate with:

• Summer (March to June): Temperatures ranging from 25°C to 38°C, with occasional heatwaves.
• Monsoon (June to September): Heavy rainfall, averaging 700-800 mm, which can affect commuting and outdoor activities.
• Winter (November to February): Cooler temperatures between 10°C to 25°C, with occasional cold spells.
