Weather and Climate at ITBA

The Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) is located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which has a humid subtropical climate.

• Summer (December to February): Temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C, with occasional heatwaves reaching above 35°C. High humidity and occasional thunderstorms.
• Autumn (March to May): Temperatures gradually decrease from 25°C to 15°C. Less humid and more comfortable.
• Winter (June to August): Cooler with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 15°C, occasionally dropping below 5°C. Rainfall is less frequent.
• Spring (September to November): Temperatures rise from 15°C to 25°C. Increasing humidity and more frequent rain.

The weather can affect commuting, especially during heavy rain or heatwaves, but ITBA has facilities to accommodate students and staff during extreme conditions. Outdoor research may be limited during winter due to colder temperatures.
