Weather and Climate at ITU

The IT University of Copenhagen experiences a temperate oceanic climate typical of Denmark. The weather at ITU is characterized by:

• Winter (December to February): Temperatures range from -1°C to 5°C, with occasional snow and ice.
• Spring (March to May): Temperatures gradually increase from 2°C to 15°C, with increasing daylight and occasional rain.
• Summer (June to August): Warmest period with temperatures between 15°C to 25°C, and longer days with occasional rain.
• Autumn (September to November): Temperatures decrease from 15°C to 5°C, with more frequent rain and shorter days.

Annual rainfall averages around 600mm, with the wettest months being July and August. ITU students and staff should be prepared for variable weather conditions that can affect commuting and outdoor activities.
