Lincoln Land Community College is a two-year higher education public institution located in Springfield the state capital of Illinois. The college serves students in Illinois Community College District #526, a 15-county, 4115-square-mile district. Opportunities for employment include faculty, administrative, professional and classified staff positions. Hiring Process

SURS

The State Universities Retirement System (SURS) covers LLCC employees in ongoing positions. SURS does not cover student workers or those in temporary positions. SURS contributions are deducted on a pre-tax basis. The employee may choose from three different retirement plans. SURS does not coordinate with Social Security and, consequently, there is no payroll deduction for FICA. However, there is a payroll deduction requirement of 1.45% of gross wages for Medicare.
