Weather and Climate at MSU

Mahasarakham University, located in the northeastern part of Thailand, experiences a tropical savanna climate. The region has three main seasons:

• Hot Season (March to May): Temperatures can reach up to 40°C (104°F), with low rainfall.
• Rainy Season (June to October): High humidity with significant rainfall, temperatures ranging from 25°C to 35°C (77°F to 95°F).
• Cool Season (November to February): The most comfortable time of the year, with temperatures between 15°C and 30°C (59°F to 86°F).

The weather can impact commuting and campus life, especially during the rainy season when flooding might occur. Outdoor research activities are more feasible during the cooler months.
