Weather and Climate at MCAD

The Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) experiences a humid continental climate with significant seasonal variations:

• Winter (December to February): Cold with average temperatures ranging from 10°F to 25°F (-12°C to -4°C). Snowfall is common, affecting commuting and campus life.
• Spring (March to May): Temperatures gradually rise from 30°F to 60°F (-1°C to 16°C). Rain and occasional snow can occur.
• Summer (June to August): Warm to hot with temperatures between 60°F and 85°F (16°C to 29°C). Humidity can be high, impacting outdoor activities.
• Fall (September to November): Cooling temperatures from 60°F to 35°F (16°C to 2°C). Beautiful fall colors but with increasing chances of rain and early snow.
