Weather and Climate at MSLU

The climate in Minsk, where Minsk State Linguistic University (MSLU) is located, is characterized by a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold winters.

• Winter (December to February): Temperatures range from -4°C to -8°C, with occasional drops below -20°C. Snowfall is common, affecting commuting and outdoor activities.
• Spring (March to May): Temperatures gradually increase from 0°C to 15°C. Rain and melting snow can make commuting challenging.
• Summer (June to August): Warm with temperatures between 18°C to 25°C. Occasional heatwaves can reach 30°C, impacting campus life and outdoor research.
• Autumn (September to November): Temperatures decrease from 15°C to 0°C. Rainfall increases, and the first frosts can occur in November.

Extreme weather conditions like heavy snowstorms in winter or thunderstorms in summer can occasionally disrupt normal campus operations.
