About Monash University 

Monash University is a public research university based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Named after prominent World War I general Sir John Monash, it was founded in 1958 and is the second oldest university in the state. The university has several campuses, four of which are in Victoria (Clayton, Caulfield, Peninsula, and Parkville) on the lands of the Wurundjeri and the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nations, and one in Malaysia. Monash university has a vibrant and diverse community - 86,000 students, 17,000 staff, and more than 440,000 alumni. Monash also has eight non-residential colleges across our Caulfield, Clayton, Parkville and Peninsula campuses, with 250 members each.
