Ulaanbaatar, where Mongolian National University (MNU) is located, experiences a cold semi-arid climate with significant seasonal variations. Winters are extremely cold, with average temperatures ranging from -20°C to -30°C, while summers are mild with temperatures between 15°C to 25°C. The city receives about 200-300 mm of precipitation annually, mostly in the form of summer rain.
