Weather and Climate at SAU

The climate at Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) is characterized by a tropical monsoon pattern with distinct wet and dry seasons. The region experiences:

• Temperature: Ranges from 10°C to 35°C, with the coolest months being December and January, and the hottest from March to June.
• Rainfall: Heavy monsoon rains from June to September, with annual rainfall averaging around 3,000 to 4,000 mm.
• Extreme Weather: Occasional flooding during the monsoon season can affect commuting and campus life, while the dry season from November to March is more favorable for outdoor research activities.
