Weather and Climate at FMMU

The Forth Military Medical University (FMMU), located in Xi'an, experiences a continental monsoon climate. The city has distinct seasons with:

• Spring (March to May): Temperatures range from 10°C to 20°C, with increasing rainfall.
• Summer (June to August): Hot and humid, with temperatures often reaching 30°C to 35°C. Rainfall is significant during this period.
• Autumn (September to November): Cooler temperatures from 15°C to 25°C, with less rainfall and clear skies.
• Winter (December to February): Cold, with temperatures dropping to -5°C to 5°C. Snowfall can occur but is usually light.

Extreme weather conditions include occasional heatwaves in summer and cold snaps in winter. The weather can affect commuting, especially during heavy rain or snow, but FMMU has facilities to support campus life and outdoor research activities year-round.
