Academic Calendar and Important Dates for UCEM

The academic year at Universidad Centroamericana de Ciencias Empresariales (UCEM) is divided into two semesters:

• First Semester: Starts in January, ends in May.
• Second Semester: Starts in August, ends in December.
• Exam Periods: Typically held in June and December.
• Holidays: Include Easter, Independence Day (September 15), and Christmas/New Year.
• Faculty Application Deadlines: Vary by department, but generally occur in the months leading up to the start of each semester.
• Sabbatical Dates: Faculty members can apply for sabbaticals, typically planned a year in advance.
