Weather and Climate at UEx

The climate at Universidad de Extremadura (UEx) is characterized by a Mediterranean influence with hot summers and mild winters. The region experiences:

• Summer: Temperatures often exceed 30°C (86°F), with occasional peaks above 40°C (104°F). This can impact outdoor activities and research.
• Winter: Temperatures typically range from 5°C to 15°C (41°F to 59°F), making it comfortable for commuting and campus life.
• Rainfall: Most precipitation occurs in autumn and winter, with an average annual rainfall of about 500mm.
• Extreme Weather: While rare, heatwaves and occasional cold snaps can occur, affecting both commuting and campus operations.
