Weather and Climate at ULT

The Universidad de Las Tunas experiences a tropical savanna climate. The region has two main seasons:

• Dry Season (November to April) - Temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C, with minimal rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities and commuting.
• Wet Season (May to October) - Temperatures can reach up to 35°C, with significant rainfall and occasional hurricanes, which can impact campus life and research activities.

Extreme weather conditions like hurricanes can affect the operations of ULT, necessitating preparedness measures for both students and staff.
