Weather and Climate at UFRRJ

The Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro experiences a tropical savanna climate. The campus at UFRRJ is affected by:

• Rainfall: The region experiences a wet season from October to April, with monthly rainfall often exceeding 100mm. The dry season, from May to September, sees significantly less rain.
• Extreme Weather: Occasional heavy rain can lead to flooding, impacting commuting and campus life. However, the climate generally supports outdoor research and activities year-round.
