Academic Calendar and Important Dates for UMY

The academic year at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta is divided into two semesters:

• First Semester: Starts in August and ends in December.
• Second Semester: Starts in January and ends in May.
• Exam Periods: Typically held in December and May.
• Holidays: Include national holidays and a mid-semester break in each semester.
• Faculty Application Deadlines: Vary by department, but generally occur in the months leading up to the start of each semester.
• Sabbatical Dates: Determined on an individual basis and can be applied for throughout the year.
