Academic Calendar and Important Dates for UM

The academic year at Universitas Negeri Malang is divided into two semesters:

• First Semester: Starts in August and ends in December.
• Second Semester: Starts in January and ends in June.
• Exam Periods: Typically held in December and June.
• Holidays: National holidays and university-specific breaks are observed.
• Faculty Application Deadlines: Vary by department, but typically in early spring for the following academic year.
• Sabbatical Dates: Determined on an individual basis, usually planned well in advance.
