Weather and Climate at UNIBEN

The University of Benin experiences a tropical wet and dry climate. The city of Benin, where UNIBEN is located, has two main seasons:

• Dry Season (November to March): Temperatures range from 22°C to 33°C with low humidity and minimal rainfall.
• Wet Season (April to October): Characterized by high humidity, with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 31°C and heavy rainfall, particularly from June to September.

Extreme weather conditions include occasional thunderstorms and heavy downpours during the wet season, which can affect commuting and outdoor activities on campus. The climate supports a vibrant campus life, with outdoor research often planned around the dry season.
