Weather and Climate at UoL

The University of Lahore experiences a semi-arid climate with hot summers and mild winters. The city of Lahore, where UoL is located, has the following climate characteristics:

• Summer (April to September): Temperatures can range from 25°C to 45°C, with high humidity and occasional monsoon rains.
• Winter (October to March): Temperatures range from 5°C to 20°C, with occasional fog and light rain.
• Rainfall: Most rainfall occurs during the monsoon season from July to September, averaging around 628mm annually.
• Extreme Weather: Heatwaves are common in summer, while cold waves can occur in winter.

The weather at UoL impacts commuting and campus life, with students and staff needing to adapt to seasonal changes. Outdoor research activities are often scheduled to avoid the hottest parts of the day during summer.
