Weather and Climate at UoM

The University of Malakand experiences a subtropical highland climate. The weather at UoM varies throughout the year with distinct seasons:

• Summer (June to August): Temperatures range from 20°C to 35°C, with occasional rainfall.
• Winter (December to February): Temperatures can drop to 0°C to 15°C, with occasional snowfall in higher altitudes.
• Spring and Autumn: These seasons are mild, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C.

Rainfall is moderate, with the monsoon season bringing heavier rains from July to September. Extreme weather conditions include occasional heatwaves in summer and cold spells in winter, which can affect commuting and campus life. Outdoor research activities are planned considering these seasonal variations.
