Weather and Climate at UNIOS

The University of Osijek experiences a continental climate with distinct seasons. Winters are cold with temperatures often dropping below 0°C (32°F), while summers can be warm to hot, with temperatures reaching up to 30°C (86°F).

• Winter: December to February, average temperatures range from -2°C to 5°C (28°F to 41°F).
• Spring: March to May, temperatures gradually increase from 5°C to 20°C (41°F to 68°F).
• Summer: June to August, temperatures can range from 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F).
• Autumn: September to November, temperatures decrease from 20°C to 5°C (68°F to 41°F).

Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year, with slightly higher precipitation in the summer months. Extreme weather conditions such as heavy snowfall in winter and occasional heatwaves in summer can affect commuting and campus life at UNIOS. Outdoor research activities may be limited during these periods.
