Weather and Climate at VŠMU

The University of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU) experiences a continental climate with distinct seasonal variations:

• Winter (December to February): Cold with temperatures ranging from -2°C to 3°C (28°F to 37°F). Snowfall is common, which can affect commuting and outdoor activities.
• Spring (March to May): Temperatures gradually increase from 5°C to 20°C (41°F to 68°F). Rainfall increases, impacting campus life.
• Summer (June to August): Warm to hot with temperatures between 18°C to 28°C (64°F to 82°F). Ideal for outdoor research and events.
• Autumn (September to November): Cooling down from 20°C to 5°C (68°F to 41°F). Rainfall and occasional early snow can occur.

Extreme weather conditions like heatwaves or heavy snowstorms can occasionally disrupt normal campus operations.
